For over 35 years Calgary Pride has brought communities together to celebrate visibility, creativity, and belonging. In 2026, we’re expanding the festivities by connecting artists, organizations, and community leaders across the city.
Pride organizations across Canada are navigating new challenges, including rising hate toward queer and trans communities, shifting funding landscapes, and the increasing complexity of large-scale events.
At the same time, the need for connection, joy, and solidarity has never been greater. Calgary Pride is responding to this moment by strengthening partnerships, expanding collaboration, and supporting community-led programming throughout Calgary.
Rather than centering all programming on a single festival site, Pride Week will support events happening across the city. Local organizations, venues, artists, and grassroots leaders will contribute their own programming while remaining connected through a shared thread.
We’re unveiling seven signature threads, each representing a different experience of 2SLGBTQIA+ culture — from nightlife and performance to family programming, arts markets, and community gatherings.
Pride Week will take place across Calgary through a network of venues, community spaces, and cultural hubs. From performances to panels to markets, each event contributes to the larger celebration of queer arts and community life.
In the lead-up to Pride Week we will share stories from the artists, organizers, and volunteers helping shape Pride 2026. These voices reflect the diversity, creativity, and leadership that make Pride possible.
Pride exists because of the people who build it. Whether you volunteer, host an event, perform, or attend, every contribution becomes part of the celebration.
