Calgary Pride is excited to announce the return of its #OurPride initiative for Calgary’s Alberta’s premiere PRIDE Celebration B!G PRIDE 2021. In 2020, COVID-19 impacted the employment of 53% of Canada’s gender and sexually-diverse community, along with being a uniquely challenging year for so many of the local businesses that keep Calgary thriving. The #OurPride creates an opportunity to connect 2SLGBTQ+ folx to local community builders. This year our virtual B!G PRIDE festival is building on last year’s success, and we want you to show us how you celebrate #CalgaryPride!
Last year, 70+ businesses and organizations used the #OurPride initiatives to connect with the 2SLGBTQ+ community and allies in COVID-19 friendly PRIDE celebrations. Events include a fundraising component that supports the local 2SLGBTQ+ community through Calgary Pride and provides businesses and organizations with resources and training that help facilitate relationship building with Calgary Pride’s audience. Together, we can continue to tell the story of diversity and inclusion, and how your organization shows its PRIDE this year and every year.
