Indigo Nights has been postponed to late winter/early spring.
After thoughtful consideration, Calgary Pride has decided to postpone the event to allow more time to secure a headline sponsor and the resources needed to deliver Indigo Nights with the care and quality intended.
Indigo Nights was created as a meaningful opportunity to gather, celebrate, and support the community. To honour that purpose, we want to ensure the event has the right foundation in place before moving forward. Postponing the event gives Calgary Pride and our associated partners the time needed to strengthen that support and bring Indigo Nights to life in a way that reflects the experience we want to create for our community.
This decision also reflects the need to carefully consider cost, risk, and timing during a busy summer season filled with many queer events and community opportunities. Moving Indigo Nights to spring creates more space for community connection and allows the event to stand on its own with the attention, support, and intention it deserves.
While this is a change to the event timeline, Indigo Nights is not cancelled. The event will move forward in late winter/early spring, with the exact date to be shared once confirmed. Ticket holders have been contacted directly with the option to keep their ticket or request a refund.
This postponement only applies to Indigo Nights and does not affect our plans for Pride Week 2026. Calgary Pride’s Pride Week programming and community celebrations are still moving forward as planned.
We want to thank our partners, Stonewall Recovery, Safelink, Black Pride YYC, and Awowakiiks for the time, care, and work they have already brought to Indigo Nights. We also apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause, and we appreciate the understanding and support of everyone who has helped bring this event forward.
For those interested in supporting Indigo Nights, we invite you to visit the Indigo Nights page to explore sponsorship opportunities and find more information.
We look forward to bringing Indigo Nights to the community, alongside the rest of our tapestry of events that are moving forward as planned.
