We’re excited to announce WORK, a Fashion Show & Runway installation by FOREIGNERZ, exclusive to our 2023 Calgary Pride Sponsorship Gala taking place on August 17 at the Fairmont Palliser.
WORK invites the viewer to consider the currency of our time and think deeply about what it actually means to work. What does it mean to survive in a post-pandemic era, where the politics of aesthetics and desire drive us. In 2023 we are hustlers, movers, shakers, and people who are asked to take on multiple identities to simply exist. With WORK, FOREIGNERZ brings together the roots of Pride, visibility, survival, power, and the ability to create a new future through honest and jubilant relationships to our body, with urgent questions about the politics of labor, a culture of optimization, and human value.
WORK is the second Runway show from the house of FOREIGNERZ with Creative Direction from @jaesterling. WORK will be a multidisciplinary fashion installation that brings together emerging talent from Alberta in the fashion, music, and art space.
As this show is a part of our annual Sponsorship Gala, this event will have a limited quantity of tickets available to the public.
