As Calgary’s Angel with Attitude, Eva Angel first earned her burlesque wings in 2009 while performing with and choreographing for Fake Mustache, a troupe of local Drag Kings. With a highly-trained background in dance and an appreciation for all things queer and sparkly, it was love at first strip. Eva’s passionate relationship with burlesque began to grow and flourish as she took it upon herself to study the art form and hone it for herself. Forever on this beautiful journey, she continues to perform with Fake Mustache and has been a proud member of The Garter Girls since 2011. Eva also resides as an instructor with The Garter Girls School of Burlesque and is a regular guest instructor with Burlesque Burn Calgary. She has also recently taken on the roles of Rehearsal Director, Instructor, and Admin Assistant with Momo Movement, working towards increasing accessibility in burlesque and the arts. Eva has had the privilege of performing in some high-profile shows such as Calgary’s High Performance Rodeo, Wild Mountain Music Fest, and the Calgary, Kootenay, Edmonton, and Vancouver International Burlesque festivals. The wings of this angelic burlesquer have taken flight, with no intention to land. They will leave you breathless with their exquisite and honest beauty….or they might just smack you in the face!
