DESCRIPTION:Calgary’s hottest drag show is Holi-GAY Weekends!\nEvery long weekend\, drag kings Noble Oney and Osmo Cis are back with an all-new\, all-queer show that answers the question\, “WHAT?!”  \nDon’t be thrown off when you’re greeted at the door by a drag king that looks like Hulk Hogan. You’re in the right place. And anyone can get in – there’s no password. All we ask is that you leave your heteronormativity at the door – this one’s for the girls\, the goths\, and the gays. \nThis Show Has Everything \nDrag kings\nBurlesque\nHand-pulled vegan pasta\nFlutists\nCops on roller blades\nAnti-capitalist sentiment\nGender neutral bathrooms\nBuff Easter bunny\nCowboy Santa\nRoulette duets\n… and other gay stuff you’ll find yourself obsessively thinking about weeks later. \nAnd you’ll have your very own When Harry Met Sally moment with our IRL Tinder profiles speed dating game. \nA Note on Pricing\nTickets are $15 in advance\, or $20 at the door. However\, this is merely a suggestion! Because the kingdom of capitalism is alive and well and crushing\, we always offer a Community Pay What You Can (PWYC) option. \nTo do that\, just reserve your spot for free under PWYC and put whatever amount feels fair and do-able for you in the bucket at the door.  \nAbout the Venue\nLocated at The Attic Bar and Stage on the second floor above Vegan Street\, in the heart of historic Inglewood (formerly Lolita’s Lounge – home to Carly’s Angels\, Calgary’s longest-running drag show). \nPlant-based comfort food downstairs\, stone-fired pizza and hand-pulled pasta upstairs – plus curated cocktails and local beer. The Attic is the only fully plant-based pizza bar in town that will genuinely fool any carnivore – and don’t forget their MANY non-alcoholic and gluten-free options.  \nUnfortunately\, The Attic is accessible only by stairs. Free street parking is available after 6pm. \nGender neutral bathrooms available on both floors. \nLand Acknowledgement\nIn the spirit of our commitment to reconciliation\, it’s critical that we start by echoing the names of the nations whose homes we inhabit. We reside on the home of the unceded territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy\, which is comprised of the the Piikani\, the Siksika\, and the Kainai\, as well as the Îyâxe Nakoda\, Tsuut’ina nations\, and the Otipemisiwak Métis government. We honour Mohkínstsis and all nations who are the first caretakers of this revered land.  \nWe have an obligation to continuously reflect on and take action to repair the damage and harm enacted upon Indigenous communities. Our cast will address and take action on at least one item from (and amplify the work being done on) the 94 the calls to action each time we host an event.
