DESCRIPTION:Hello\, \nI’m writing you from Ottawa – earlier in the year I released my 8th feature film – a Drag-fu\, action\, comedy\, horror\, musical entitled “Enter the Drag Dragon”. The film had its world premiere at the Mayfair Theatre in Ottawa\, where we had line ups around the block and many sell outs. Cineplex is now releasing the film Nation wide throughout the Summer to coincide with Pride festivities in each city across the country. “Enter the Drag Dragon” will be having a week-long Cineplex premiere engagement in Calgary during the week of Friday\, September 1st till Thursday\, September 7th at Cineplex Odeon Eau Claire Market Cinemas (Eau Claire Market\, 200 Barclay Parade SW #200\, Calgary\, AB T2P 4R5) to coincide with Calgary Pride. \nhttps://www.cineplex.com/theatre/cineplex-cinemas-park-lane \nI am hoping to promote our upcoming week long engagement with Cineplex during some CalgaryPride events. There will be drag performances by El Rey del Sol\, Alina Montenegro\, Dayna Hart\, Sir Velvet\, Roy GBP & Oliver Twirl\, poetry readings by Cece Chow and Alyjah Ermine\, hip hop from Kindé\, and classical and Bengali dance performances by Kajal and Ratul! \nTickets:\nWe are offering pay-what-you-are-able tickets and splitting 100% of the ticket sales between Black Pride YYC\, Colores Del Alma\, and Rang De Pride to help support them in all the offerings they have coming up in the calendar. \nOur sponsor:\nThank you to the Community-Based Research Centre for providing funding so we can pay $100 honorariums to all performers. They have wheelchair accessible washrooms on the main floor and the floor of the Heather Edwards theatre. There are multi-stall gendered washrooms on all floors as well.
