DESCRIPTION:Now\, Whodunnit! is an unscripted and participatory hour-long murder mystery flavoured with camp and circumstance! Join a cast of quirky characters who find themselves in the radius of a crime- as they all try to seem as innocent as possible\, and puzzle out relationships\, suspects and motives alike in this always-unique experience inspired by classics like Clue\, and new favourites like Knives Out that celebrates the true crime genre- without the truth! \nF Squared Improv is committed to creating respectful and professional spaces free from discrimination\, producing and performing in quality productions that all audiences can enjoy. We provide valuable oppurtunites for improvisers at all intersections of identity to practice and perform\, reflected by our cast featuring improvisers of all ages\, identities\, abilities\, and levels of experience\, and through our rehearsal and artist engagement practices\, which emphasize inclusion\, participation\, and developing skills for every “stage” in life! Simply put\, all are warmly invited to Come Play With Us! \nThis run of shows is hosted by Calgary Fringe as a part of its Fringe U Showcase Weekend\, featuring the work of graduate artist students from the 2022 Fall session of the Fringe U Artist Self-Producing Workshop Intensive; and through the support of Calgary Fringe organization\, we are able to offer accessible options to welcome everyone to enjoy our show: Livestreaming ticket options are available at the point of purchase\, as well as Pay What You Can tickets making it easy to enjoy your night out- or in with F Squared Improv’s Now\, Whodunnit!

DESCRIPTION:The Knight has been summoned to the king’s court\, eager to receive accolades and probably an award for his many fantastic achievements. Throughout his time in the court\, his bravado begins to slip\, and a devastating and emasculating secret is exposed. Inspired by medieval poems like The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer and performed in drag\, COCKSURE uses comedy to explore queerness and masculinity. \nThis show is part of the Common Ground Festival.

DESCRIPTION:Come on out for a cross-organization collaborative all-ages sober variety show on Sunday\, July 27th from 1:00 to 5:00 at Contemporary Calgary with time to mingle before and after! \nTickets available now: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/big-queer-variety-show-tickets-1415897560719 \nJoin our Emcees\, Alyjah Ermine and Oliver Twirl\, for a fun afternoon of queer joy and creativity as a whole bevvy of talent crosses the stage! There will be drag performances by El Rey del Sol\, Alina Montenegro\, Dayna Hart\, Sir Velvet\, Roy GBP & Oliver Twirl\, poetry readings by Cece Chow and Alyjah Ermine\, hip hop from Kindé\, and classical and Bengali dance performances by Kajal and Ratul! \nTickets:\nWe are offering pay-what-you-are-able tickets and splitting 100% of the ticket sales between Black Pride YYC\, Colores Del Alma\, and Rang De Pride to help support them in all the offerings they have coming up in the calendar. \nOur sponsor:\nThank you to the Community-Based Research Centre for providing funding so we can pay $100 honorariums to all performers. Tips will also be split amongst all performers to ensure everyone is paid for their labour. \nAccessibility:\nTo make this event safe as possible to attend for as many of our 2SLGBTQIA+ community members\, we ask that folks do a Covid test within 24 hours of attending and wear masks when not eating. Masks will be provided at the door. \nThis is a sober all-ages event! We welcome kids and families! Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. \nFood will be served! Details are coming\, but there will be gluten free and vegan options courtesy of the Pansy Club\, as well as Jamaican patties from Simply Caribbean. \nContemporary Calgary has a paid parking lot and is right by the c-train downtown. They have wheelchair accessible washrooms on the main floor and the floor of the Heather Edwards theatre. There are multi-stall gendered washrooms on all floors as well.
