The CORE is also thrilled to once again be working with Skipping Stone by collecting cosmetics for the expression program and donations through their Pride themed bubble gum machines. SUMMARY:Coming Out in a Cultural Context
DESCRIPTION:Help us kick off Pride Week 2021(August 27th to September 6th) by joining this workshop\, which teaches concepts about coming out\, outing\, safety issues\, and how they interact with cultural and other contexts for newcomers to Canada. It gives specific ways to discuss coming out within a cultural context and relates openness to sexual orientation or gender identity to privilege\, culture\, religion\, and resiliency. It refers to UNHCR Guidelines for working with 2SLGBTQ+ refugees and the use of interview skills to discuss coming out scenarios \nRegistrants will receive all materials and an invitation to the online platform via email prior to the workshop date.
